Castle gets set for spring

Garden seeds for sale

Volunteers at Cardigan Castle are getting set for spring by sorting seeds for sale in the castle shop.

The castle gardens were a blaze of colour last summer – and now visitors can replicate that in their own gardens.

Garden volunteers Huw Davies and Sandra Davies have made packs of deep purple heritage sweet peas plus Morning Glory.

Castle gardener Mark Dellar said: “We had a lot of seeds left over from last summer’s flowers so didn’t want to waste them. We’ll be planting yet more seeds all around the site this spring and welcome anyone who wants to volunteer in the gardens.”

If you are interested in joining the castle volunteer team, email [email protected], phone 01239 615131 or call into the castle reception.
