English Historic Towns Forum: Supports professionals working in the historic built environment. Founded to establish and encourage contact between local authorities and other public, private and voluntary sector agencies with the responsibility for the management for historic towns and cities. The Forum organises events and publications which focus on perennial and topical issues such as conservation, local heritage assests, retail development and streetscape.

Georgian Group: The Georgian Group is the national charity dedicated to preserving Georgian buildings and gardens and must by law be consulted on any planning applications affecting listed Georgian buildings, monuments, parks and gardens. They help owners, architects and planning authorities towards better solutions. There is also a Georgian Group Wales, dealing with incoming planning applications, liaising with planning authorities and Cadw and undertaking site visits. The group also organises occasional study days, lectures, primary research and visits to notable and/or problem properties.
