The challenge of match funding

The euphoria over the £4.7m HLF grant will take a long time to die down. But Cadwgan Trust will not be able to rest on their laurels for very long. Our next task is to get the match funding in place to complete the full cost of the castle’s £9m restoration project. Work has already been going on behind the scenes to draw down match funding from Europe.
That work will continue this summer while the red tape with the HLF grant is processed. Cadwgan will spend the summer fund raising – their part of the HLF grant is a pledge to raise £155k.
Events include:
- Thursday, May 5 2011 – Mamma Mia singalong at Theatr Mwldan, Cardigan. Tickets from theatr Mwldan. Reception at 6.45pm.
- Friday, May 20 2011 – Charity Golf Day at Cardigan Golf Club.
- Saturday, June 25 2011 – Midsummer ball at Rhosygilwen Mansion.
- Sunday, July 10 2011 – family fun run from Cilgerran to Cardigan Castle.
- August 6-13 2011- Castle Open Week.
