Match fundraising events
Cadwgan Trust are going flat out in their bid to raise £150k to match Cardigan Castle’s £4.7m Heritage lottery grant.
The Trust held a summer ball at Rhosygilwen last week complete with raffle and auction and is now planning a family fun run for Sunday, July 10 2011.
The fun run on Sunday, July 10 2011 will be started at 11am by town mayor Cllr Catrin Miles at Cardigan Castle – will take a three mile route to Cilgerran wildife centre and back along the riverside footpath. There’s a prize for the best fancy dress (optional) and if you don’t fancy running you can walk.
Register on the day at Cardigan Castle.
Also, from Saturday 6th to Saturday 13th August 2011 the castle will be open to the public. Among the many exciting activities planned will be a Medieval Day, a Children’s Activity Day plus a Craft Day.
Craft stallholders who would like to take part in Medieval Day on Saturday, August 6 can contact Cadwgan at their offices in Green Street by email at cadwganbpt@btconnect.com or alternatively ring the Tivy-Side on 01239 614343.
